I was born in California but moved to Cleveland, Ohio at 18 months old. My mother had raised me primarily on her own. She was a single Mom and struggled to raise my sister and myself. From her I learned that women could be strong and independent. She also encouraged me to follow my dream as a writer.

I have always written something from creative short poetry to short stories. I have received some awards for my poetry and early writing. When I was in my late 20’s and early 30’s I put away my writing thinking it would never amount to much. Then in my late 30’s I began to write short stories again. It felt good to wake up my muse again.

When storytelling is your blood, you cannot purge it no matter how hard you try. My heritage is the reason the story flows. I am nearly half Rromany.(Gypsy) We have a strong oral tradition and are wonderful storytellers.

My first novel is A Time Before: It is the first in a serious of books that I have planned. I hope that the second book will be available for down load and purchase next year.
